freedom of expression

    is useless on condition that thare is no one who desire to talk through his own ideas. but that is difficult in term of nowadays media whose writers' opinions are conditioned by complicated issues of politics, economy and even religion. so fredoom of expression turns into freedom of manipulation mainly due to the lack of simple man who succeed not to integrate into interest of any group.

mustafa kemal ataturk

    all books in schools include his pictures with different forms of which some reflects him as a fat, old man. so some students try to correct them on their own with a pencil. but when some are captured by their teacher on working, they are accused of insulting atatürk and charged with prison sentence. funny but real story.

berkeley

    is a philosopher whose objective idealism is counted as a reply to the empricism of john loke who is an english philosopher. berkeley is an irish, not english man unlike locke. but like locke he seems to like travel making journeys to the america as a british colony. during these journeys his name were given to a college and a city in america. philosophically, he is idealist in the sense that he rejects the existance of external world which can be proved by sense perception but that view is objective in the sense that the existense of external world in our perception depends on the god as an external and so(see: objective) to the mind. his main motto to express that idea is that to be is to perceive.

rene descartes

    the creator of mind and body distinction which makes many further problems but also brings solutions for the problems emerging in an era of scintific investigation. he gave different substances to mind and body. that is, he accepted mind as a thinking thing and body as a space extended thing. that distinction opened a new working space for science limiting religion to the mind within which soul inhabits. but that also crates the problem of interaction between mind and body due to their radically different character or substances.

imagine

    one of the main function of mind to evaluate the sense data coming from external world. also it reflects the speciality of human being whose member has different way of life beyond instinct according to their greatness of imagination. it establishes a bridge between ordinary capabilities like seeing, hearing which are shared by animals and producing ideas. so it seems that to improve it is to improve complicated ideas.

    he may not be loved by even some members of his community but generally accepted by many people though their secular vision of society. so that creates an interesting situation which makes difficult to undersand ideas of secular ones whose main rivalry is toward muslims. we understand that secular people have started to pass beyond the framework of old radical secularists like kemal atatürk who is the creator of secular turkey. that means a leap toward more pragmatist view which can show a preacher as a good one in terms of secularist radicals. that can be discussible to evaluate that as improvement or recession( irtica in turkish ) for them. it reflects the new blood of young generation which injects into the ideology of kemalism in a way to soften the radical framework.
